Isaac is officially 6 months old as of the twelfth! I can't believe how fast he's growing up. For his half birthday his Aunt Chelsea actually got him a little gift. He got a cute little tie, now he'll look so snazzy at church. :)

Along with turning 6 months old also comes a doctor appointment. I had to wake him from his nap ( after only sleeping 20 minutes) to go. Since he'd be tired I was hoping I wouldn't have too much of a grump to deal with. Luckily he ended up acting like an angel. They took all his measurements- 18 lbs 14 oz (75%)- 27 inches (75%) and his head is 44.5 cm (50%). So he's a big healthy boy! :) Then it came time for his shots, the dreaded needle. As the doctor gave him his shots he screamed his saddest cry, arched his back, and broke my heart. But then it was done, and within a minute he was just fine. Unfortunately the doctor ran out of one of the shots, so we have to go back for it. I wish we could've just got it all done at once!

His favorite sleep position, bottoms up! This is him right before his appointment.

His battle wounds. :(

We have made our decision!

My dearly beloved dears,

We have chosen to move to .... HOUSTON TEXAS!!
Wow wow wow WOWZERS!
Isn't that exciting? We mailed them 500 bucks today to save our seat for the class of 2014.

This means so many things!

It means We're gonna probably have a cowboy baby that likes boots and belt buckles and shoots all the injun children.

It means We'll live 45 minutes from a beach.

It means We're going to the Rodeo.

It means I can force Amy and Isaac to hablar Espanol.

It means we may end up being Rocket fans.

And the list goes on...

But seriously it was very very hard choosing where to live. Memphis and Fullerton looked so so good to us, I'm sad to tell them goodbye, especially Memphis cause they gave me a t-shirt.

We decided that Houston's school had some very nice perks about it. The city of Houston has much much more entertainment, perhaps next January I'll take Amy down there to see Houston's Broadway "Wicked."

And yes, again, We really want to live close to a beach. This'll probably be the only time in our life where that'll be possible and so we're going to suck in all that sun. Speaking of that, it's HOT and Humid in Houston and Amy will be dancing everyday. Like you may have read, Amy is so happy knowing that we'll live away from snow and cold for 4 winters.

We're going to miss you all so much for the 4 years of Optometry school but we don't leave for another 8 months. So why don't we spend as much time as we can hanging out and visiting one another ok?

We're so excited for this next stage of our lives!

First Snow

So, remember when it snowed a week or so ago? When that happened I hated it and it made sad to go outside and freeze. But for some reason it made Brad super excited and giddy, and he demanded we go outside and have fun. So I played along and I went and took a picture of him with the the first snow. Isaac was sleeping at this time, so Brad grabbed a snowball so Isaac could have his first Kodak moment with the snow as well :) I guess snow isn't too bad, it's just the cold that I hate. At least this will be my last Utah winter for awhile!! There won't be much cold and snow where we end up going!

ha ha, you can see what a drooler Isaac is too- kinda gross :)
