More pictures

Someday we'll pay a psychologist a thousand dollars to only receive the diagnosis that Isaac is bipolar. But we already knew that.
Isaac found a super fun new game called "Agua tickle!!"
Its a fun game where he asks his daddy to chase him around the house squirting him with a water bottle. He really LOVES playing, but then one second later he's sadder than the last unicorn being eaten by a dementor. Oh Isaac. He can change moods so sharply it's actually kind of entertaining. And everytime he gets hurt or something we thing... oh it's not so bad... wait for it... and then he giggles.

It's hot in Houston almost 100 degrees now, so we're breaking out the pool!

here's a good question for Isaac, which baby is most important?

This pic focuses on Luke's skinny but LONG legs. He's a super star!

Luke

Isaac was 7lbs 15 oz.

Luke was 7lbs 1 oz.

Isaac was 19 inches

Luke was 19 and 3/4 inches

Isaac was born with brown light brown hair.

Luke has brown black brown hair (very noticable on his arms and his back even) (From the Harrisons)

Isaac definitely has Amy's "Udell feet." Very short and wide feet, almost like a two little squares with short fat toes.

Luke definitely has Brad's "Larson" feet, their about one inch wide and 3 inches long! Long and skinny feets and toes.

Amy says both boys have the same mouth. they both were born with dark dark eyes. And they both look like they inherited Brad's "Nye" nose.

Luke is a very plesant happy child, very similar to a baby kitten who naps 23 hours a day and then purrs at you when it wants food.

Isaac was born very angry for many days. He had the more tramautic birth.

Amy was in labor 9 hours with Isaac (3 hours of pushing) they had to use the forceps.

She was in labor 4 hours with Luke (30 minutes of pushing) No forceps!

Luke Elessar Larson

On Thursday, June 2nd, 2011, little Luke came into our lives. Thursday morning I had my weekly doctor's appointment at 9:40 in the morning. We left Isaac home with his Grandma and Grandpa Larson, and Great Grandma Geddes. They were only going to be in town for 3 more days, so I was going to ask if I could be induced. Another reason I wanted to be induced is I was scared of the baby getting too big. Birthing Isaac was not an easy experience, and the recovery reflected it. I really didn't want to go through all of that again. My due date was June 10th, and I knew everyday it got closer, the baby was getting bigger.

So at the doctor's, everything went as normal. Just before she was going to do the ultrasound, I asked if induction was a possibility. My doctor isn't a huge fan of induction, and likes to let things go naturally, but given my history, she said yes! We then noticed on the ultrasound that my amniotic fluid was getting low, so she would've been sending me over the hospital anyways. Luckily the hospital wasn't too full, so she said i could go over right then!

After getting all settled in, all the blood work done, and the icky IV placed, they started the pitocen at 11:45. Things seemed to go much faster then with Isaac, before I knew it, I was REALLY wanting an epidural, but the anesthesiologist was busy with another patient. After what seemed like an eternity, I finally got my drugs, and at 3:13 little Luke was born! I pushed for probably about 10 minutes (my best guess), and he was out. Overall, everything went WAY easier the second time around. Luke was 7 lbs 1 oz and 19.75 inches long. His hair is almost black, and already growing a mullet in the back :) He has super long skinny feet, toes, and fingers.

Everything went great that day, except for the whole time, Brad was feeling sicker and sicker. By that night he was running a fever and looked like he just wanted to crawl in bed and die. Even though, I was still not really up to taking care of a baby by myself, I told him he better go home and get a good night's sleep. I would just have to heavily rely on the nurses. Luke was an angel that night, and was easy as pie, I mostly didn't get much sleep just from nurses and other hospital personel coming in my room every hour. Sometime just to see if I was ok. It was annoying enough, that I decided I definatly wanted to go home the next day. No more overnighters at the hospital.

The next morning something happened that would prevent that though. I woke up with a sore throat. As the day went on I got sicker and sicker. By afternoon, I was having heat flashes, and then chills, I had a fever. The hospital didn't want to let me go home like that, so I had to stay another blasted night.

We were finally able to go home on Saturday, and Brad and I are still recovering from being sick, but overall we are doing really well. So far both Isaac and Luke have showed no signs of being sick, so we just need to pray it stays that way!

The Larson's went home early Sunday morning, and we just picked my mom up today! We have been shown so much support by our family, and our neighbors and ward. Thanks to everyone that have visited us and brought gifts, we truly feel loved!

The Birth

Enjoy these pictures! Isaac kinda likes kinda doesn't like the baby. It's a good thing his grandmas and great grandmas buy him presents too! This is a pic of Isaac opening one from his great-grandma and grandpa Larson. There's so much to tell, hopefully these pictures say enough. (Amy will update the literature of the birth soon)

Words

This picture is now hanging up on our wall. We think it's the jackpot of 2 year old pictures.  Isaac is really changing just so much. He's a little stinker sometimes, a slinker at other times, but often he's a wee angel just trying to kiss ya.  Right now I'm at the library and he's gotten board of me, so he's wandered over to befriend a girl twice his age and height. She just ran away from him and he's staring her down.   Isaac Isaac! He's so weird, and so fun, and so naughty pretty much every half hour.  Amy being tired of being pregnant is often at her wits end with Isaac. She doesn't have much strength during the day and I or her often have to drag Isaac away from treating her resting body like a jungle gym while she's lying on the couch.
Amy is so ready for this next baby boy to be out!  And apparently she's done a good job growing him.  Last thursday the doctor measured him to already be over 6 pounds! The Dr. said she's interested in getting Amy induced no later than at 38 or 39 weeks.  Amy's already into her 37th week and so we're talking only a few more days left! WOW!!!
We're so excited for this new baby and we think we're already in love with him. He's easily 10 times more jumpy in the womb than Isaac was, he's got a huge nose says the ultra sound tech, and apparently, if it weren't for ultrasounds this baby would weigh close to 9 pounds if we waited till Amy's due date (he really want to be bigger than his older brother)  We've narrowed down the name list to only a few now, (keeping it secret of course).  We have our hospital bags packed and an Isaac bag ready for whoever'll be watching Isaac.  Everything's exciting right now and Amy is officially nesting. We're cleaning up our house like no other!

Don't be surprised if our next post has a new picture and a name!

Love you guys, thanks to everyone who's supported us during the last 9 months!
