Welcome September

Luke Loves to do push ups just like his pops!

Here Luke's playing with toys that Aunt Stephie mailed to him!

Amy invented "Movie Potty Time" today.

He grabbed it!!! HOOOOORRRRAAAAAYYY!!!!

Isaac found an Ape at the Zoo. Amy took the kids there on tuesday while Brad was in school.

This is our new car!! It's a 2010 Toyota Yaris mpg is 30 in city and 37 on the freeway! (can you tell why Brad likes it)

Also Amy LOVES it because it's MORE spacious in the backseat than our last 2000 VW Jetta. More room for more babies?

Yesterday I was so proud of myself because I managed to get Luke to laugh three times in a row. I had been at school for 2 days in a row and he was acting so happy to hear my voice and have me hold him so when I went to change his diaper it was just too many good things happening and his smiles turned into laughs as I tickled his belly. This morning he nursed and as Amy rocked him back to sleep he closed his eyes and smiled to himself and then out of nowhere he let out these huge chuckles! Amy absolutely loved it. He laughs in his sleep now, he's such a happy baby! Another knew thing about Luke is that he's starting to grab for things. It starts out with him wacking stuff with his fists, then he starts to pull at his shirt or at a blanket. now he's really grabbing his binki and other interesting toys. It's so much fun to see his little mind working out the riddle of how to reach things that he sees. New things with Isaac is that he LOVES having a new Vroom vroom car! The other day I took the new car to school and Amy and the kids went to a friends house in old Darletta the Jetta. When Isaac saw the old car he whined and tried to open up the garage telling amy no no, vroom vroom uh! Then Amy opened the garage and the new car wasn't there and Isaac was so bummed out he didn't 'be happy' for the whole ride there. Every time that he DOES get to ride in the new car he says "me ride THIS vroom vroom!" Also when Amy was giving him some orange juice, he started asking about yellow juice and blue juice. :) he doesn't realize orange is the fruit. he just knows its a color. Maybe we should start feeding him oranges? Too bad they're tuff to peel!

I read Paul today. He taught that we should learn to be content in whatsoever state we find ourselves in. We need to realize that when times are bad, we are forgetting the many good parts of our lives, and when times are great we are forgetting all the things we are lacking. He taught that we are to both be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. When we realize the truth of our state then like I said at first, we can be content, content to work through our days being strengthened by Christ.

That's how I feel. There are lots of extremely bad things happening, and lots of extreemely good things happening. Thanks to the Lord and thanks to special time pondering the scriptures, we are content.

As you can see from the pictures, the obvious is happening. Luke is getting bigger and Isaac is noticing him more. We finally got Isaac to want to hold Luke on his lap. Isaac doesn't do more than allow Luke to sprawl across his legs and Luke really doesn't find that comfortable so we don't let Isaac hold him for very long.

So far Luke is 4 for 5 at being good at talking on the phone. If he watches me talk on the phone while I hold him for a few minutes then I hand him the phone he starts jabbering and goo gooing too, He's so funny. He also LOVES to be held yet he doesn't necessarily like to look at you. He'll almost turn his head 360 degrees around trying to avoid your gaze. The trick is that you sing to him and ignore him and then when he lets his guard down you move infront of his eyes and he'll smile so big that his eyes almost sqeeze shut!

Isaac is poop city. The story is that we tried to potty train him. He learned number one really fast and since we enjoyed not putting diapers on we praised him for pooping in the toilet and frowned at him for pooping in his diaper. It was wonderful for 2 weeks. And then he decided he hated the toilet. He started peeing in diapers again even and so Amy and I would get disappointed at Isaac and after another week he was peeing in the toilet again but he was holding onto his poop, trying hard not to poop at all. And then we went to Utah where some of you noticed how foul a poo can be if you hold it in. We were told to try suppositories and those work only when Isaac is trying to hold in the poop and he's all backed up.

Now we're back home and Isaac is doing better in his old habbits and he pees good and he now gets on the toilet and tries to poop. Now the problem is that he's been holding onto his poop for 3 weeks and he must've broke his pipes or something because he can't get much out even when he tries really hard. The worst is that his butt has become raw and red. We put on medicine and Isaac freaks out. We put on vasiline and Isaac freaks out, and worst when we do the suppository. Isaac is hating his broken butt right now. Amy booked a trip to the Doctor sometime this week and hopefully we'll get help. Also we only feed Isaac high in fiber foods now. He really has a perfect diet for pooping. Yes we have him drinking alot too. If you or anyone you know have ideas PLEASE let us know. THANKS

Other things... Isaac sings primary songs now. If you start "I looked out the window and what did I see" He'll finish the phrase with baby words that sound like they rhyme with the real words.

Amy is going crazy at home dealing with poo. Life is not fun at home alone. I think she's doing better now, adjusting to the difficulties of stay at home motherhood. I'm back at school, the first week wasn't hard, I realized I couldn't run a mile anymore without walking a bunch, but now I'm exercizing again and improving fast. I'll let you know when school kills me.

Isaac thinks its funny when mommy says she's going crazy. He laughs at her and then begs her to take him see muhma and pampa on ah'pane up up, on ah'pane down down.

We'd also like to mention that Amy's grandpa Bob passed away on Saturday. It's hard being so far away, we wish we could be there but are glad we could have seen him only like 3 weeks ago. He was one of the strongest manly men that knew. We're going to miss him a ton and hope the best for grandma Udell and all her kids. We love you Grandpa Bob!

Isaac is obsessed with big airplanes

Well. Today's my first day of school. Isaac woke up and I wasn't there. He told Amy, "me come dada." Poor kid, he thinks he wants to go to school. His time will come!

Salt Lake City August '11

Well we're here in Utah. There's new buildings, new roads, new trax, and new girlfriends and boyfriends for our siblings. Isaac is loved by his grandparents, Luke is adored by them too. Here's some Larson family pictures that we took in our front yard.

We love the cool dry air. Especially because we don't have to pay for it.

Since Isaac is surrounded by people speaking English he's decided to start speaking it. I'm proud of him, but still hope he'll pick up some spanish one of these days.

We're really really enjoying our time with the great-grand parents and are excited to soon see the Udell's in Vegas on Friday!

And yes, we are sitting on the grass, and not getting bitten! Can't stick a barefooted baby on the grass like that in Houston... :)

This is Isaac's cheesy smile.

Before and Afters

Here's what a photographer did. The style with the black background reminds me of the '80s photography

This is a pic of Luke happily dreaming in the Dr.'s office.

Here's Luke after the Doctor gave him 4 shots in his legs!
The poor poor thing has been hurt! How could they do that to him? He never hurt ANYONE! We're so mad at those mean doctors.

Here he's trying to sleep away the pain caused by the shots.

We went on a fun Choo choo train ride... But at the end a big scary Shark jumps out and almost eats the train!!!

Here's what we looked like After the shark attack

They're good brothers. We love our boys!

The Nintendo years have begun

Here's Luke! He's wearing his old man's blessing outfit! He lukes so good!

And here's Isaac. Awesome at doing number 1 in the toilet but still very constipated at doing number 2 there.

Precious!

And here's our pride and joy Isaac learning to play and love Nintendo for the first time in his live! He's a natural!

See here he's playing Zelda Ocarina of Time and he's already the grown up version of Link

Notice the proper handling of the controller.

He's such a natural. All concentration is going into his technique! And look! Luke is peeking over his shoulder! It won't be long before they're both playing each other!!!

I love my boys!
