Halloween!

Well people. In two days I shall travel the world once again looking for Carmen San Diego. I've already matched the warrant, the crook, and the loot together. My fellow Gumshoes have caught Double Trouble and they've alerted us to Carmen's wherabouts... Fullerton California! and Houston Texas!

Once there, I'll run around placing flashing cones every where she may be until she is caught!

And when all is said and done. Whether or not I have her behind bars, there's gonna be only one thing left to do:

HIT IT ROCKAPELLA!
here's some cuter pumpkin pics of Isaac.

Family Pictures

So we all went down the the Sears Department store at Jordan Landing. We took pictures and it was so funny because Isaac was a riot! He smiled so freakin big every time! They had to keep retaking our pictures because one of us adults weren't doing as good as him.
So anyways, when we got done they had us choose a handful to print off and if we bought a package then they'd give us a CD with all the pictures.

So. We chose 8 pictures but then they TRICKED us!
They only put those 8 on the CD!!! How horrible of them!

So I, Brad, stomped home angrily and decided to show them who's boss by doing my own photo shoot!

Here's what I came up with!
Yeah. I totally rocked. Isaac is a pretty great rockstar when it comes to posing for pictures.

My giggling little boy

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

So I like to try new recipes here and there, and this one turned out pretty good so I'm posting it :) I actually got this recipe as a wedding present and finally tried it out.

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chunky peanut butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda

Beat butter, sugars, and eggs until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter. Mix remaining ingredients into creamed mixture just until blended. Roll dough into balls and place in ungreased mini muffin tin and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Cookie will spring back to the touch when done. Remove from oven and place a snack sized Resse's Peanut Butter cup in the center and press lightly. Tip: Cut the peanut butter cups in half and place it in the cookie crinkle chocolate side up.

So the verdict is.... they are delicious! I don't know how often I'll make them because of the expense of the peanut butter cups. These always have been one of my favorite kind of cookies though!

First foods

With Isaac's first tooth coming in, and his increasing interest of what's on our plate, I decided I'd see how he reacts to a little bit of rice cereal on a spoon. He thought it was pretty weird, and he still has a bit of his tongue reflex going, so he pushes a lot of the food out. Maybe every few days I'll let him try with that spoon a bit more. I don't think I'll get him on a regular solid food schedule until he hits his 6 month birthday. It's fun to let him practice though!

The teething and the gnawing

Isaac is teething, and truthfully it hasn't been pretty. We have had many sleepless nights lately. He's started doing this funny thing that looks like he's chewing on something- maybe it feels weird to have a tooth coming in. Anyways I caught in on camera for your viewing pleasure. I also tried to take a picture of his incoming tooth- but it basically just looks like his gums. It's the best pic I got though, it's tricky business taking pictures of a 4 1/2 month old's gums. :)
